A Message From Teresa

 

At the beginning of this campaign, I made a commitment

to the people of Broward County. I will not compromise

myself as a candidate for State Attorney by soliciting

current elected officials for their endorsement. I believe

that there is an appearance of impropriety when a

candidate "owes a favor" to another public servant.

Political favors and back room deals need to become part

of the history of this county.  I promise to end public

corruption once and for all.

I have personally raised every dollar that has been contributed to my campaign.  There is not another person or politician behind the scenes who is raising hundreds of thousands of dollars who will be able to dictate how the State Attorney’s Office will run.  My decisions will be based on what is best for the people of this county.  I will not create policy and make decisions to benefit anyone monetarily, politically or otherwise.

Endorsements are also made by organizations.  For many organizations, this is a rigorous process where candidates are interviewed and a meaningful choice is made in regard to which candidate is best qualified.

In other circumstances, that is not always the case. The head of the organization gets a favor owed and the members have no say in who gets endorsed.

Please screen endorsements wisely.
